Scholarships for College of Science Majors
Majors in the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Geology and Geophysics,
Physics and Astronomy or Mathematics.
SOARS Scholars Receive
- Up to $10,000 scholarship/year with annual renewals possible
- 1:1 mentoring by LSU science/math faculty and advisors
- Career coaching
- Personal and professional development
- Preparation for research opportunities
Eligibility
- Junior or Senior
- Demonstrated financial need (Pell or Pelican Promise eligible)
- Enrolled full time
- Majoring in a degree program within the College of Science (Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics)
- GPA of at least 3.0
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
