College of Agriculture

This broad-based curriculum encompasses all areas of agriculture and offers you unique opportunities for professional and leadership development, hands-on learning across the state, and participation in faculty-led research.

Available concentrations will prepare you for teaching in secondary schools or for careers in extension, business, government, or industry.

This GeauxTeach program offers you the opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree in English, French, history, or Spanish AND earn a secondary teaching certificate at the same time. No additional hours are required, since elective hours are used for education courses. Upon completing the program, you will have a BA AND be both certified and highly qualified to teach in that subject area.

The music education major prepares you to teach music in elementary, middle, and high schools through a comprehensive curriculum that fulfills requirements for earning a K-12 Louisiana teaching license upon graduation. Our collaborations with schools in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area offer students varied experiences to provide perspective and a basis for making career choices.

This GeauxTeach (STEM) program offers you the opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree in biological sciences, chemistry, mathematics, or physics AND earn a secondary teaching certificate at the same time. No additional hours are required, since elective hours are used for education courses. Upon completing the GeauxTeach program, you will have a BS in science or math AND be both certified and highly qualified to teach in that subject area.
