Community-Engaged Research Opportunities

LSU over purple line Discover Undergraduate Research Program

Are you interested in research AND service? If so, you should consider pursuing a research project through LSU Discover, a campus program collaborating with CCELL to increase opportunities for undergraduate students to do community-engaged research.

To find a project in your area of interest, visit the LSU Discover mentor database. Scroll down the page and click to enter the new mentor database. Once there, click on “Access the Faculty Mentor Database” and select the “Community-engaged research projects (CCELL)” category. Projects listed here have been pre-approved as research ventures that can count for LSU Discover’s Distinguished Researcher Program. In addition, hours on these projects also count toward service hour requirements, making completing both graduation distinction programs easier.

If you have any questions about completing both programs, reach out to CCELL staff at ccell@lsu.edu.
