Basics of EndNote

EndNote is a citation management software that saves its users time and effort when collecting sources, creating citations, formatting bibliographies, and more. In this instructional class, you will learn how to download the latest EndNote 21 software, import and organize references, find and attach full-text PDFs, and how to use the 'Cite While You Write' feature in Microsoft Word. This class is open to all Faculty, Staff, and Students. Please bring your laptop if you would like to follow along with the instruction.

Research Databases

Databases are excellent tools for finding scholarly literature. Knowing how to search them effectively will give you better search results and save you time. This class will provide some search strategies and tips as well as demonstrate different types of searches using the key research databases applicable to the veterinary sciences (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and CABI Digital Library). The class is open to all faculty, staff, and students.

Tiger HATS Pet Therapy

Pet therapy is back! The LSU Vet Med Library will again partner with the LSU Vet Med Office of Student Success to bring you pet therapy. Visiting with the Tiger HATS therapy dogs in the Vet Med Library will melt your stress and brighten your day!

Dog Aging Project

LSU Vet Med welcomes Dr. Matt Kaeberlein, Chief Science Officer at Optispan, Inc., Affiliate Professor of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Washington, and Co-Director of the Dog Aging Project. Dr. Kaeberlein will talk about his work with the Dog Aging Project, what he's learned thus far about aging in canines, and the project's plans for future research.

Refreshments begin at 5:30 p.m., and the program goes from 5:45 p.m. to about 6:30 p.m.
