eXploreCS Junior High | LSU Pre-College

This computer science program is for rising 7th - 9th graders and offered through LSU Pre-College Programs. In today’s world, computing is everywhere, whether it is in the form of actual computers, cell phones, sensors, or many other embedded devices. Students will learn how these computing devices work and how they help us solve all kinds of interesting problems through hands-on-experience with hardware and software. Lunch will be provided each day. Partial financial need scholarships are available courtesy of Louisiana Economic Development.

Institute of Reading Development Reading Programs
Louisiana State University is proud to offer reading programs designed to help students
of all ages improve their reading skills and build a lifelong love of books. Since
2003, LSU has partnered with the Institute of Reading Development, a nationwide leader in reading instruction, to deliver engaging and enriching experiences
for kids. There are various start dates for grades level K-12th grade students.
LSU Rural Life Apprentice Program Summer Day Camp

Step into a world of tradition and craftsmanship with the LSU Rural Life Museum's Apprentice Program, a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience for 4th-8th graders. Young apprentices will embark on a fascinating journey back in time, exploring the rich heritage of 19th-century Louisiana.

The LSU Baseball Youth Camps are designed to give campers a once in a lifetime experience to play baseball for a week at Alex Box Stadium - home of the LSU Tigers! During the camp, campers will work with LSU coaches and players to improve their understanding of the fundamentals of baseball while participating in games and competitions.
LSU Beach Volleyball Camp
June 6-10, 2024
Tiger Beach Volleyball Camps provide basic skill instruction for the beginner to the experience/rated players. Sessions will focus on skill development and will progress through in-game strategies and into competition. No prior experience in beach volleyball is required. We realize this is a new and evolving sport and we want everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy it!

Kim Mulkey Basketball Camp is for those ages 3-21. This camp focuses on the basics of basketball. Campers will develop through fundamentals, skill stations, and in-game situations.

LSU Softball camps and clinics are offered in June. Elite camp for campers in 7th grade and up, June 17-20th camp is pitching catching camp for ages 8-18 and an all skills camp ages 8-12.

LSU Tennis Camps offer individual attention, drill work, and competitive play to its participants. Half-day, full-day, and overnight options are available for beginners up to advanced level players. UREC Tiger's Den
Tiger's Den's mission is to provide an exceptional recreational experience through a fun, inclusive, and diverse camp program by providing world class facilities and programming that promotes inclusion, learning, and healthy lifestyles. LSU UREC Tiger’s Den is designed for children ages 6 to 12. Each session is filled with sports, structured games, educational activities, field trips, arts and crafts, and more. All activities are lead by LSU students who are first aid and CPR certified.
Tiger’s Den is open to all families, and membership to LSU UREC is not required to
attend Tiger’s Den Summer Camp. Lunch is provided during Summer Camp sessions and
all campers receive a Tiger’s Den T-shirt. There are 9 available sessions.
