Biography
Nihar Sreepada (Ph.D., Texas Tech University) is an assistant professor at the Manship School of Mass Communication. He previously taught public relations courses in the Department of Communication at Missouri State University. After completing his master’s degree in communication at Deakin University, Sreepada worked as the head of events and public relations across a range of industries, including nonprofit, sports, and food and beverage, in both Australia and India. An international scholar, his research began with a focus on communication identity in traditional media (such as newspapers) and has since expanded to explore how identity is shaped through digital media and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Broadly, his research examines communication identity across diverse contexts, including political communication, public relations, health communication, and AI technologies.
