If you would like to schedule a training, please submit the training request form.

Each request includes a 30 minute pre-assessment discussion.

Description: 

This interactive workshop is designed to help participants learn more about the breadth and depth of diversity.

You will leave with a greater understanding of: 

Cultural competency, bias, and intersectionality             

Time: 1 ½ hour to 2 hours

Description:

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in cooperation with the Office of Human Resource Management, presents Search Committee training for conducting a fair and equitable search through the lens of diversity. This training is open to all members of faculty and staff who are currently or will be sitting on an active search committee. 

Time: 1 ½ hour to 2 hours

Description:

Safe Space workshops teach faculty, staff, and students basic LGBTQ+ terminology, as well as ways to make your language more inclusive. This workshop helps attendees identify areas of privilege related to being straight and cisgender, it discusses the coming out process, and finally, it explores ways to become a better ally to the LGBTQ+ members of our community. Time: 4 hours required for certification.

National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) at LSU

LSU is an affiliate campus of NCBI, a proven leadership development program to reduce or eliminate bias, discrimination, controversy, and interpersonal conflict on campus. This interactive program has the potential to impact your life and the lives of those around you.

The Welcoming Diversity Workshops and Controversial Issues Workshops are available for students, faculty, and staff members at LSU, the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The program is free to all participants, but advance registration is required.
